Museums bring me great joy. I can't pinpoint exactly why they have that profound effect on me. It's definitely my love for knowledge and visuals. Yet it's definitely my attraction to the new shiny packaging of old history. Visiting the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles was no exception. Given that I hadn't been back since my glory elementary school years, I was extremely excited to revisit. Upon entering this beautiful place, I was welcomed by T-rex and Tyrannosaurus Rex framed by pleasingly tall columns. These magnificent creatures made of bones are no stranger to me.
I found myself admiring the high ceilings, its details, the historical-feel old-age chandeliers hanging unlit in the glow of daylight. The warm mellow lighting brings out wonder in the room.
Onto my favorite new discovery: California Gogi Grill. This museum is located near USC, so naturally there were tasty food places nearby for USC college students. This spot is a modern take on authentic Korean food.
Korean fried chicken & chicken bulgogi were my main contenders, and a variety of sides and glass noodles. Yummy stuff.
Spending time at a museum was a nice date. Plus food too? Perfect.
